Dario shakes down Father Samuel

Dario-icon.gif Dario: First thing in the morning I head over to give Father Samuel a shakedown to retrieve the key he magicked away from me. He is in the middle of preparations for his wedding day and he couldn't be less thrilled. I ask him for a moment of his time and he loudly declares, "Church business" and postpones the wedding for a few days.

Once we are alone I gently inform him while pressing him against the wall that I discovered the manipulations of my mind. He is obviously very scared and I relent the physical intimidation and we go off to the Venali treasure room to retrieve my property.

Father Samuel is in the treasure room for hours and at one point I feared that he may have escaped but a nearby servant tells me that this is a typical amount of time to rummage in the treasure room. Eventually Father Samuel returns the key to me and I thank him.

Before returning to my companions I decide to make a wax mold of the key and place that in a safety deposit box in the Venali bank. I tell no one about this.

A bunch of boring stuff about banks and money

Thaddeus-icon.gif Thaddeus: Spent all day screwing around with coins and papers and stuff. Banks sure are boring. But I shouldn't complain, I got a huge sackful of cash out of it. Bought some healing potions and a couple neat arrows that are supposed to knock folks out without really hurting them. Could come in handy. Oh, and that Bronzeleaf Flake tobacco I picked up is the trollshit! Those halflings sure know their stuff.

Missive from Lord Dunnay

Dario-icon.gif Dario: While enjoying a meal at the tavern a starving and dusty messenger from the Riders of Green begins asking around for men by our description. I wave him over and he presents us with a missive from Lord Dunnay. Tarralon reads the letter aloud, which requests that we investigate a possible spy network in Fort Johnston. This network may be run by Lord Salnonay.

As Lord Dunnay is a wealthy and powerful man from Macita, we add this to our to-do list.

Off to the Rock, Home of the Dream Knights

Dario-icon.gif Dario: The home of the Dream Knights, The Rock, is a small but effective fortress. When we arrive they are in the middle of daily drills in the courtyard. We are escorted inside, where we talk with Far Wanderer Alyrarel Myshanore. The lady tells us that Sala is infected with a phantasmal killer and that she has died in her dream. Without help, her body will follow suit.

Lady Myshanore is surprised by the amount of dream dust that we have, saying that it will allow us to traverse the dream realm and possibly help Sala. I leap from my chair, volunteering to save the woman and the others join me. We begin our dream travel training.
