Stunts and Extras

Marked Quarry: When you set your sights on a particular supernatural beastie, you study it so thoroughly that you learn its ways and how to take it down. You have an additional approach called The Hunt, which is set to Great (+4). Once per session, you can desig- nate a particular, specific creature as your quarry. It doesn’t have to be present for you to do this, but you do have to be familiar with the particular creature you designate. Whenever you take any action that involves hunting it or killing it, you can roll The Hunt instead of any of your other approaches. A creature remains your quarry until it dies, until the end of the current adventure, or until something really significant happens to make you give up hunting that particular creature. You can only have one quarry at a time.

Crazy Ninja Powers: You gain +2 on any use of the Sneaky approach while hunting or stalking someone whom you can directly observe, or while preventing someone else from hunting and stalking you. This bonus applies even in the face of supernatural resistance.

Martial Artist: You’re a student of one or more martial arts. When Flashily Attacking using hand-to-hand combat you get +2.

Stress and Conditions

Stressed (fleeting) 1 each — [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ]
A fleeting condition goes away when you get a chance to catch your breath and calm down.

In Peril (Sticky) 4 [ ]
Clear out In Peril when you’ve done something concrete to resolve whatever the nature of the peril is—getting medical attention if it’s an injury, bribing someone to remove the marker, and so on. Usually, this means you’ll need to overcome an obstacle against an opposition of Great (+4) or higher.

Doomed (Lasting) 6 [ ]
When you’re Doomed, you’re in serious, serious trouble. If it’s an injury, you’re holding your guts in. If it’s an emotional problem, you probably need counseling. Check off Doomed to cancel six shifts from any attack. Start recovering from being Doomed when you’ve done something concrete to mitigate the nature of your doom—spending time in a hospital if you’re injured, going to therapy, etc. Usually, this means you’ll need to overcome an obstacle against an opposition of Great (+4) or higher. (You may want to put a check mark by the condition, to indicate it’s recovering but not cleared.) Clear out Doomed at the end of the next session after you’ve successfully started recovery.

Wounded (lasting) 4 Physical [ ]
Monster hunters have an extra lasting condition that they can use to absorb four shifts of physical injury. When you’re Wounded, death is on the table when you’re taken out, as with the Doomed condition. To begin recovery, another character who is capable of seeing to your injury must overcome an obstacle of Great (+4) or higher, in quiet and ideal conditions (as in, not in the field). You recover fully at the end of the next session.
