COS:2018-12-20: Liches Be Crazy

We start the session by talking with a lich who can't remember his name. He leads us back to his room, which has a hawk-headed humanoid statue. The lich speaks to him in Primordial, telling "Dave" to stand aside and that we're all cool. Also in the room are six piles of treasure.

In the room beyond, there are crates being stored here by Strahd that have vampires/spawn in them. Kasimir tells Bozi that under no circumstances that Sebastion be allowed to touch any of the sarcophaguses as long as he has the staff. As Kasimir checks out the sarcophaguses his hair changes color to be more white and grey.

Kasimir has found what he is seeking.

We go up the stairs and into a library with a fresco that depicts angels in hell. There are six 10' tall black book cases. Our Lich host leaves and we search, finding a ton of scrolls. Sebastion is happy to keep them but Bozi points out that they belong to our host.

When our host returns, he waves a wand and a table and chairs leap into existence, and there is a feast before us.

We talk with our host about our search for the sword and present the hilt that we've found. The Lich forces Hakk to hand it over and the Lich was burned by touching it.

Sebastion inquires about two books that he found with runes that he doesn't recognize. The Lich tells us that they belong to other wizards. We are permitted to take three scrolls.

Leaving the Amber Temple

As we leave the temple, Hakk feels a warmth overcome her and an audible sigh of relief. The hilt that we found is warm in Hakk's hand.
