[[File:Stealing Stories Punk Club.png|right|300px]]
In the heart of London’s early 1980s punk scene, two clubs dominated the improbable landscape where decay and chaos reigned: the polished and uninspired *White Club*, and its antithesis, the dingy, raw, and unapologetically rebellious *Skrut Club*. The *White Club* catered to the middle class, with a veneer of appeal but no real character, while *Skrut* was a vortex of punk energy, reeking of grime, cheap beer, and nihilistic abandon. It was within this decaying 10-mile improbability zone, where matter itself seemed to lose cohesion, that we planned our next heist.
=== The Scene ===
The *White Club* seemed like a parody of itself: a generic venue with simple locks and a smattering of bouncers for security. Karaoke nights and a friendly, yet overly accommodating owner, Chester, kept the middle-class patrons entertained. Yet, this veneer of respectability was in constant conflict with the grunge next door. *Skrut Club*, run by Chester’s teetotaler, straight-edge brother, Lenny, was a haven for punks, a magnet for violence, and a focal point for escalating police presence. The club had its own lore: skinhead invasions, fights between the brothers, an unofficial stairwell for illicit trysts, and an aging utility room hiding illegal arcade cabinets.
Both venues thrived in the shared misery of their neighborhood, drawing cops, punks, spies, and trouble in equal measure. Russian spies frequented both clubs, and the city buzzed with secrets and conspiracies. Amid all this, we had our target: a key that held the improbability zone open.
===The Heist Unfolds===
Our first move was to procure drugs from *Rico Les*, the local dealer. Brick made contact, stepping into a room charged with tension and the presence of a mysterious stranger with a perfect British accent—a Russian spy engaged in dealings with Rico. Meanwhile, Paco and Mealworm bluffed their way past Russian guards, posing as innocent Americans, as Brick dismantled the den’s defenses with brute force.
Next, we moved on to the *White Club*. Brick tried unsuccessfully to bribe the doorman with drugs, forcing Paco to lie and smooth things over to get us inside. Once in, Paco took to the stage, belting out “Rocketman” and “Mandy” in a karaoke performance inspired by *Malibu Moonlight Mayhem Con*, drawing eyes away from our real objective. Chip, the bartender, served drinks while our earlier Russian acquaintances lingered nearby, adding a layer of danger.
Simultaneously, Mealworm made his way to the *Skrut Club* before it officially opened, encountering the grizzled, Iggy Pop-like Lenny and a bartender struggling with understaffed chaos. None of them had the key we sought.
The night took a violent turn when Paco was ambushed by skinheads in the stairwell, where he had been distributing cocaine as a cover to inspect keys. The situation escalated further when a punk with spiked hair named Skank came into play. Skank had devoured two keys, one of which we desperately needed. He was a fixture of the punk community, known for his iron stomach and the fact that he’d only ever lost a fight to Lenny. Yet, Skank was no ordinary punk—he was MI6, a straight-edge ancestor of Brick.
As the improbability zone’s decay spread, the floor of *Skrut Club* gave way. Skank plummeted into the chaos below, and Brick leapt after him, followed by Paco, who lizard-crawled into the fray. Amid the collapse, Brick managed to dart Skank, and we secured the key just as two Russians, eager to defect, joined our escape.
===The Epilogue===
We barely had a moment to breathe as we sped toward the edge of the improbability zone. Mealworm was at the wheel when, suddenly, Nicholas appeared, standing ominously in the middle of the road. He had an urgent command: we needed to finish our mission quickly. He wanted Skank extracted from the zone while keeping us inside. With a snap of his fingers, reality shifted, and we found ourselves in the Swiss Alps.
Nicholas, cryptic as ever, laid down the next challenge. "How do you feel about the most difficult score yet?" he asked, eyes gleaming with mischief. "I need you to steal something from the *Celeste* itself."

Prologue

On a ship from the 39th centuries. Hibernation pods to traverse different multiverses and universes/reality.

On the return trip back home, 25% of the hibernation pods failed. No one died. Well, not right away. Over the course of the centuries they didn’t survive to make it home.

The survivors are known as Sleepers. They have cybernetics to do awesome things.

The descendants of those who didn’t sleep are known as Scions. These Scions have mutated over 500 years due to being outside of reality.

Now that some of the Sleepers who have woken up and now there is tension between the two groups.

Then there is the second problem.

You are in the 21st century. You don’t know why or how. It isn’t a time traveling ship.

This introduces the third problem, the world, reality itself, is failing.

The AIs have woken and have detected anomolies in the universe. The girl from Ipaneema was playing in the air, nonstop. This was resolved. There is a object of some sort that is the locus of the problem.

The AIs are working with the Scions and waking up some Sleepers to fix these problems.

We are going into an Anomoly Zone and restore order. If we don’t fix these problems, there won’t be a world to go home to.

Stealing Stories Punk Club.png

The Scene

The Heist Unfolds

The Epilogue
