He's a son of a noble house, and his father has decided that such a son should expand~~ the ~~house's holdings and wealth before he inherits. So he's the business side of the New World expedition~~, ~~and his family is a big source of funding. 	~~I figure Noble should have Wealth as a bonus feat. Skill Focus(Diplomacy), Skill Focus(Knowledge(Nobility)). For this particular character, I'd figure him as a skill monkey, although at least for~~ the ~~first level~~, I'~~m not planning to actually max out any skills or take any practical ones.
