Additional abilities: I thought design-wise this was already potent enough but I had thoughts for a capstone and a further drawback. I'm just including them for completeness sake though you might find the drawback appropriate to impose already. So goes the editing process. Spell Merge probably needs a use per day limit. I'd suggest somewhere in the range of 2 - 5 uses per day. Conscious Host should probably just allow a will save to awaken but I thought I should place it in its most detrimental state.
Spell Merge (ex): The true merge gains the ability to cast the spells and spell-like abilities of the host body. Treat this ability exactly like casting a spell from a scroll in regards to skill checks in regards to whether the spell is cast with the following exceptions. Firstly, the host and the yakfolk take subdual damage equal to the level of the spell cast even if the skill checks fail. Secondly, the spell is lost even if the skill checks fails and only the host when not merged may recover spells. Thirdly, if you need to emulate an ability score to cast the spell double the subdual damage. Lastly, the spell save dc and caster level is as per the hosts abilities.
Conscious Host (ex): Whenever Spell Merge and/or Merge Overcharge are used the host awakens from his unconscious state. From this point on he senses what his body does and may make another save versus the body merge, fight a battle of wills to control the body, or just watch things until he chooses to do one of the previous two. The host and the yakfolk may converse telepathicly. Regardless of what the host chooses to do he remains awake even if the merge is ended, though he becomes unconscious if another body merge is entered as normal.
