The people, in general, do not commit entirely to the worship or prayer of a god. Usually, a person prays to the god that controls the particular aspect of their lives that they are interested in then. Hence, most gods are known by most men, though some of the more mystical/arcane natured ones are "invoked" less.

There are those who dedicate themselves to the ideology of a particular god, though even these people pray to the other gods for assistance in their specialties. For instance, Selene is often remembered at the start of a long journey. Due to this structure, religion is far less organized and purposeful than you may be used to. However, in the past few decades, the churches have become more and more segregated. Many are clamoring for unity again, though most ignore them. The populace doesn't easily see the trends, though those who are intelligent and/or involved in religious politics recognize the divisions.

Most of you have heard of isolated attacks of devouts of churches attackingone another. There was a riot in Macita between the followers of Selene and Venal just a few days before you arrived in Offenox.
