Meeting up with Shiro

We split loot in the morning and head off down the road. A black-cloaked rider on a horse guards the bridge. Božidar approached the rider to parley. The shadowy figure simply dissolves into the wind.

Inside the northern guardhouse is Shiro, an old acquaintance.

Finding the Temple

As we ascend the mountains it gets colder and colder. As round the bend we catch our first glimpse of the temple. The temple is yellow in color and made of a strange material, that seems to shift and move like liquid. From between the two statues, two figures climb up and out of the temple. One is heavily cloaked in furs with hood up (Rihadin) and the other we recognize as Strahd himself. Strahd looks directly at our group.

Strahd sends a mental message to Bozi, "You are a new face. Tell me your name. You stand before the Lord of this land and I will know who you are.". Bozi replied with "My name is Božidar M, Scion of Siamorphe. You are an unfit noble. Resign now. Live out your days in peace. And free Irena."

Strahd replied and the words echo, "Come friends, step forward, I believe that you have a new companion, Bozidar." We banter back and forth before he and his companion disappear in a burst of light.

Entering the Temple

Bozi casts Arcane Eye and explores the cave until the sensor gets to the NW corner, where it winks out. Bozi sneaks in a crack to reconnoiter, learns that the main statue can shoot fireballs at people. Bozi then sneaks into the crack to learn about the enemies there. We squabble for a while about what to do, ultimately deciding to attack through the crack.

Sebastion's magic goes wild, setting off a fireball on the whole party.

Just say no to Flaming Skulls

After we finish off the barbarians and wolves, we open the door to the north and are immediately bombarded with three fireballs from Flaming skulls. We hunker down and rest for ten minutes.
