Gregory (never Greg, please) is the longtime proprietor of Cinema by the Bay. He’s a former film student and Boston film critic who visited Brindlewood Bay and fell in love over half a dozen summers with the previous owner, Rory McAllister, who became his husband when Massachussetts legalized gay marriage and recently passed away in his late 70s of colon cancer. Gregory considers his curation of the Cinema’s offerings as the ongoing celebration of Rory’s life, and has given budding local filmmakers a leg up by showing their works on screen. Works the front of the house at every screening.
