The campaign began with all the adventurers in the city of Procampur. Two wagons going opposite directions pass in the street and ruffians burst out of boxes, shooting poisoned arrows at the adventuring troupe on the other wagon, killing all of them but one. Saving this lone survivor was Abendago, Robhim, Brennel, Lukas, and Wolfdale. The lone survivor was Timmie, a special person who claimed to be the favored of Ilmater, god of suffering. He needed to deliver a package to Lone Rock City.

After gaining passage on the ship Selune’s Light with Captain Jack Baringer the players encounter a dark cleric named Janus. Janus explains to everyone that the package contains a crystal with the soul of Johnathan Nightbringer. Nightbringer is a powerful and evil necromancer who could jumpstart the prophesized Great War between the forces of good and evil. Even though he sides with Evil, Janus has no interest in having the Great War started in his lifetime. As they talk with Janus, the group of them are attacked by extraplanar creatures, one which looked like an 8 foot tall bipedal vulture and the others like 4 foot tall blobs of flesh.

The next day Selune’s Light leaves for Lone Rock Island. At the end of the second day the ship gets to Lone Rock Island. The adventurers stay the night at the Sea Elf’s Flute in Seatown before making the trek up the mountain to Lone Rock City. In the early morning before dawn watchmen from Lone Rock City wake up the adventurers and tell them that they must make haste to the city at once. About an hour outside of Seatown the watchmen attack the adventurers. The “watchmen” are subdued with one death. The adventurers continue up the mountain and turn the “watchmen” over to the authorities.

At the Hall of the Even-handed the adventurers deliver the box to Ren Tidebringer and Harlann McInnis. Ren tells everyone that the sorceress who sealed the box has been missing for a tenday and he would like everyone’s help finding her. Everyone agrees and the adventurers start exploring the city.
