This is probably safer for him anyway since he would be a very light snack to the dragon.

Further in the dungeon we encountered a door that said it was trapped. We weren't really sure what it did so Fuelwen volunteered to go through it first. He disappeared. TskTsk followed soon after. Then Bo. I decided to wait and explore the area to figure out what the trap was. There was no dust or any sort of remains left behind, and there appeared to be no illusions taking place. I deduced it was some form to teleportation. In response, I used a dimensional anchor on myself and stepped through. It worked, and Splat joined me through a quick teleportation on the other side. I have no idea when the others may get back, so I carry on without them.

The giant one-eyed purple worm

Brilla: With the druids secure, we headed back to the main fleet to help in the assault. Out ship must be a great deal faster than the other as we met just as they were landing. Sometimes I forget how luck we are to have such a nice ship.

When we reached land we quickly got the gnomes mounted on their skeletal dogs and ran to the foundations of the fort. We didn't get far before being set upon by a giant purple worm. This is the first one I've ever encountered and I must say it was quite massive. It took me in one massive blow and I wasn't able to escape until it burst. I was quite a mess afterward, but there was no time to clean off. We had to descend into its shaft.

Going through the back door

Brilla: After crawling through the long and twisted tunnel work we were able to descend into the inner workings of the lower fort. On our way we encountered a basilisk that was able to breathe energy and still could turn us to stone. It was taken out quite easily, though there was a lot of flailing from people swinging wildly so they wouldn't meet the creatures gaze.

Coming inside

Brilla: Once inside, we were met by a very cold room that housed yet another creature that could turn us to stone with a glance, a half-white dragon medusa. This was much like our first stoney encounter. We are just lucky that none of us turned to stone from all of these creatures. Well, except for Ko.

Elysian fields

🎲 DM Does Bo want a new Elysian planar touchstone to replace the negative energy one? Yes please. --Arz 16:31, 22 July 2011 (UTC)

Daudhir dies & Aftermath

Brilla: I eventually run into Qldk in my travels. He wonders where the rest of my group are and I give him the quick version of the story. He makes a few choice comments on the simplicity of humanoids. I don't quite disagree.

I give him what little spells I can to assist him in battle. He tells me stay back, and I do for most of the fight, but what is the glory in that? I need to craft my own destiny and this feels like it can help define me.

I boosted my defenses as greatly as I could and I dealt a great deal of damage to the creature. Qldk was less than pleased and gave us an hour to get to our safe zone. I know, deep-down inside, he knows I contributed.

I was surprised to run into the others on my way out. I quickly ushered them to the surface and gave them the story of the dragon and our rapid escape. Once we make it the our porting zone Qldk was send us our treasure within the day. Hopefully the haul makes this worthwhile!

The Plan

  • Spread the word about the anti-outsider league, seed some organizations. Daryl, please let us know a reasonable amount of coin to set aside from the slush so that we can effectively create some outpost.
  • Brilla gets pregnant by Del Connar, using the potion of fertility to help things along. She will attempt to send a message to Bezeltrix' informing her of the good news and will inform her that Brilla will use the coin to summon her once the child(ren) is/are born. She also plans to see the dryad that gave her the potion while she is still bearing the child for a chat and a check-up.
  • Go to the Milding.

Shopping

Brilla: Hey Fuelwen, I'll give you 6,000 for your ioun stone. You can use that to toward getting a belt of ogre strength +4. With the recent haul we got it shouldn't be a problem for you!
