Recap from the 🎲 DM

Pai Soon, "The Rising Soon", is dead. He was a Champion of the city of Soon-Lo and an undefeated champion in the Celestial Tournament. Known for his fierce Kung fu, his body was discovered in the Celestial City in one of the gardens that had previously been ordered abandoned by someone masquerading as a city official. Strangely, he looks like he was waiting for someone there, and he was killed with a gunpowder weapon that does not appear to have been native to the cities.

You have been ordered to investigate his death, and the only clues you have are:

Monowongo, the champion of the Amber realm, has disappeared. She is the only Champion to not be found, and suspicion has fallen upon her.

A strange individual bought a salmon roll shortly before Soon went to the park. Rice crumbs were found on a nearby archway, and it is believed this stranger may be the shooter.

Soon was known to be in love with Kimiko, a lower ranking artisan from the poor district of his city. His trainer, Kao Mei Sun, would only say how shameful their secret love was. Kimiko is rumored to be in the Celestial city, and the group was going to investigate.

Everyone's Trainers are acting suspiciously, and I can recap how they were acting before the game. This is the 355th tournament, and there was going to be another special rule in play. The rule was to be announced before the opening of the tournament, but there is a rumor that a theft may have occurred at the Grand Parade Grounds
