Fire rages

TskTsk: Winded from the assault upon us, I scope out the area and confirm that the threat has passed, at least for the moment. As it is still early in the night we head out into the city, determined to find and eliminate the Bloodstorm. The clutch elder hears a scream in the distance and investigation yields a roaring fire, consuming a city block. We quickly join the bucket brigade and hours later the fire is out.

I make inquiries about the source of the fire and speak to a kindly, if racist, gnomish woman. She tells me that a creature, three dwarves tall wielding a sword of fire, combusted a building, which started the fire.

Brilla: Leave it to Bo to have his ears lead us to a new danger. There were some screams that came from a gnome woman that were in response to a giant fire that swept across her part of the city. She immediately blamed it one the dwarves, a claim we almost took as true before doing some investigating.

We at first determines the spell to be druidic in nature since all of the landscape as still in tack. A nearby witness said that it was a demonic looking creature that was summoned by the dwarfs. We don't take this at face value and continue to do more investigations.

Fuelwen: It cannot be a coincidence that the city burns in just such a way to get a rise out of the racial tensions. It is a stark reminder that different races can only live together in harmony when there is strong leadership and all are subservient to it.

Tree, untouched

TskTsk: Investigating the area of the fire, a single tree in the center of the park remains untouched by fire. By all appearances it appears to be a common maple, but I hesitate to call the case closed. The clutch agrees.

Brilla: A single tree appears to be the focus point of the blast. Thinking back to some of my accursed past powers, this tree may be a person in disguise. We talk this over at length, and eventually determine that the tree is in fact a tree and that the spell was most likely from a Pit Fiend. Still, we keep this tree in mind for further questioning.

Fuelwen: We do our best to get to the root of the problem. Tsk'Tsk proposes the barking-mad idea that the tree is possibly a druid. At the risk of looking like a sap, I propose a few ways to test the theory, including burning the tree to ash. Eventually, we all agree that the tree truly is a tree, and the party leaves. We have more grove problems to deal with.

Sleep rests the body, corrodes the soul

TskTsk: The entire clutch woke as I did, dreary-eyed and slower than the day before. It seems that our enemy can attack us as we sleep. Thankfully the clutch elder can heal the soul with a touch.

Brilla: Something attacked our dreams while we slept. I was lucky enough to avoid the effects, but most of us got hit by vivid dreams that sapped our mental strength. Bo was able to heal us, which is fortunate as TskTsk was acting a bit weirder than usual.

Fuelwen: The Bloodstorm follows us even into our dreams. Something is coming to a head, and our past actions require present payments. This has become the most pressing issue facing us, since the islands are fairly static, at this point.

Gathering intel

Brilla: We decide to split up and find out what information we can about the Bloodstorm, aside from the fact that it has something to do with Rake. Surprisingly, Rake's name is yielding no results in finding anything out.

Caster is feared

Brilla: Finding information on the many-ringed caster is harder than we though. Evidently the man is feared throughout Drn'Tg and his reputation of fear is far spread. We eventually find a man drunk enough to let slip some information about him, though not much of great use except that he serves the Bloodstorm.

Sekula BBQ

Brilla: Not only have we been hit, but those that we know have become targets as well. Only one of the Yu-tani remain to deliver a message to us of our impending demise. Fuelwen was especially upset since his followers of Sekula were also consumed by the fire spell of the devil, causing his shark to reappear.

Fuelwen: By the name of spilled blood, I am extremely upset. After all my efforts to find a secure place to restart the worship of Sekolah on this plane, the pathetic wastes that I dragged back here are too weak to last even a day on dry land. I am going to go to Baator and kill them again, and then drag them back here.

"Blödstuɹm" written on the ship

Brilla: With the Yu-tani enclave hit, we figured it would be best to check on the ship. There was some graffiti on the side of it and no one was on deck. We called out to the crew and they eventually came up. Upon doing a headcount we found that my charge was missing. We were told that the cult of the Bloodstorm was hiding in the Caves of Koyols.

Fuelwen: Even our crew, as ill-trained as they have become, are strong enough not to be slaughtered outright by the Bloodstorm.

Caves of Koyols

Brilla: These caves were on the outreaches of society where the Wilding is still strong. There was a natural path that led us there and the travel was quick.

Fuelwen: Again, this is the most pressing issue. With the intelligence we gathered, we track the Bloodstorm followers to a cave. They hold Splat the Lower someplace in the caves. We attack.

Figurines of Wondrous Power

Brilla: Tsk'tsk used the Figures of Wondrous Power to great effect in sealing the entrances and allowing us stealthy entry into the mouth of the cave. on the far east side.

Fuelwen: But with some strategy. Unfortunately, the planning seems to be for naught.

Fighting the Bloodstorm

Brilla: It wasn't long before we encountered the avatar of the Bloodstorm. He was a fierce creature that kept morphing shapes. Though it was a pressing battle, I heard Tsk'Tsk under pressure form the front. I decided to break off and help him, finding the many ringed mage that stole my godchild.

The villain was able to fend off the animated figures and posed a threat to get away. I decided now was a good time to try out a special move I have been practicing that would decimate the evils that I may encounter. My Shattering Heavens strike took him down quickly. I ran inside, hellbent on saving my godchild and getting her to safety.

Of note, the gods that my companions pray to lent champions of their own to help in battle. Needless to say, I was left on my own for this boon. This is a sign that perhaps I am following the true path of a Godsmen in that my own power was enough to see me through. I fear death less now than I ever did when I followed the old ways.

Fuelwen: For you see, the avatar of the Bloodstorm is a fearsome beast, barely within our grasp to combat. Geography worked against us, as it split our party, and try as I might, I couldn't get the beast in open terrain where we had a better chance of working at range. Its strikes were powerful and debilitating.

The avatar of Sekolah actually came to my aid, which was a shock. Even it could barely touch the demon. Eventually, the creature escaped.

Between Sessions

Brilla: Using some of my possession resistance to try to find a way to cohabit my body with Ethyl for small periods of time.
