'''Channeling (Su):''' Beginning at 1st level, the Warden of the Fire Dragon can channel divine energy as a cleric would channel positive or negative energy. This may be used in conjunction with other feats or class abilities as described elsewhere. A Warden of the Fire Dragon may channel a numberof times per day equal to 3 plus his Charisma modifier.

'''Deific Breath (Su):''' A Warden of the Fire Dragon gains the use of a breath weapon. As a standard action he can breathe a 30' cone of fire that deals 1d6 fire damage at second level, and every two levels after that the damage increases by 1d6 fire damage.

Deific Breath can be modified by sacrificing a divine spell as a free action when using this ability. For every level of the spell sacrificed, 1d6 of the fire damage changes to 1d6 holy damage. For example, a 6th level Warden of the Fire Dragon can sacrifice a 1st level spell to breathe a cone of flame that does 2d6 fire damage adn 1d6 holy damage. This holy damage does double damage to undead and evil outsiders and is not subject to reduction by fire resistance or immunity.

This ability uses one of your channeling uses for the day. Any creature in the area can make a Reflex save (DC 10 + 1/2 your Warden of the Fire Dragon level + your Con modifier) for half damage.

'''Lay on Hands (Su):''' Beginning at 3rd level, a Warden of the Fire Dragon with a Charisma score of 12 or higher gains the lay on hands ability. A Warden of the Fire Dragon can heal wounds (her own or those of others) by touch. Each day she can heal a total number of hit points of damage equal to her Warden of the Fire Dragon level × her Charisma bonus. For example, a 7th-level Warden of the Fire Dragon with a 16 Charisma (+3 bonus) can heal 21 points of damage per day. A Warden of the Fire Dragon may choose to divide her healing among multiple recipients, and she doesn’t have to use it all at once. Using lay on hands is a standard action.

Description

Though clerics of the Fire Dragon are always female, there are rarely clutches of males that are granted the divinity of the Fire Dragon. This seems to have something to do with the complicated physiology of the ss’ressen and the placement and arrangement of eggs within their hatcheries. These ss'ressen are often trained as Wardens of the Fire Dragon.

They hold low ranking positions in the ecclesiarch, though their duty is often the greatest. They are looked to for breeding, often producing strong ss'ressen that are sometimes granted draconic heritage by the grace of the Fire Dragon.

Their duty does not only encompass the production of a healthy clutch. They are also looked to for the defense of Lanpeltis and the rest of the Sulphur Marsh. Their unique abilities to both deal damage and keep their companions alive on the battle field are greatly needed in defending their lands from local inhabitants and rival clutches of ss'ressen.

Most Warden of the Fire Dragon do not take to a life of adventuring. Those that do are often placed on a great quest by their patriarch.

Abilities: Charisma determines the save DC of spells cast. Wisdom determines the highst spell level castable and the number of spells cast per day. Constitution increases the effectiveness of the Warden of the Fire Dragon's breath weapon.

Class Features

All of the following are class features of the Warden of the Fire Dragon class.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A Warden of the Fire Dragon is proficient with the bearded axe, club, dagger, heavy flail, heavy crossbow, light crossbow, and quarterstaff, light, medium, and heavy armor, and all shields (except tower shields).

Spells:A Warden of the Fire Dragon casts divine spells which are drawn from a list exclusive to them.

To retrieve or cast a spell, a Warden of the Fire Dragon must have a Wisdom score of at least 10 + the spell level (Wisdom 10 for 0-level spells, Wisdom 11 for 1st-level spells, and so on). The Difficulty Class for a saving throw against a Warden of the Fire Dragon's spell is 10 + the spell level + the Warden of the Fire Dragon's Charisma modifier.

Wardens of the Fire Dragon do not acquire their spells from books or scrolls, nor do they prepare them through study. Instead, they pray for their spells, receiving them through their own strength of faith. He must spend 1 hour each day at dawn in quiet contemplation or supplication to regain his daily allotment of spells. Time spent resting has no effect on whether a Warden of the Fire Dragon can prepare spells. A Warden of the Fire Dragon may prepare and cast any spell on the Warden of the Fire Dragon spell list, provided that he can cast spells of that level, but he must choose which spells to prepare during his daily meditation.

Unlike a cleric, a Warden of the Fire Dragon can not spontaniously cast cure or inflict spells.

Although a Warden of the Fire Dragon has some arcane spells on their spell list, they are cast as divine spells. They can not use arcane wands and scrolls that have these spells.

A list of spells known can be found here

Dragontouched: At 1st level, a Warden of the Fire Dragon gains the Dragontouched feat (Dragon Magic, page 18).

Selective Breeding: A Warden of the Fire Dragon has a very strong scent that can be detected from far away by other ss'ressen. Any clutch of eggs that a Warden of the Fire Dragon helped fertalized can be detected within 120' as opposed to 30'.

This scent also draws ss'ressen from opposing clutches to want to hurt the Warden of the Fire Dragon. They get a +1 bonus to hit and damage in melee against the Warden of the Fire Dragon, but they also get a -1 penalty to AC and saves against the Warden of the Fire Dragon as they lose focus when confronting their enemy.

Additionally, they are more easily detected by reptiles with scent. Any reptile with scent gets a +5 bonus to locate and track a Warden of the Fire Dragon.

Deific Breath (Su): A Warden of the Fire Dragon gains the use of a breath weapon.

You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Con modifier. Any creature in the area can make a Reflex save (DC 10 + 1/2 your Warden of the Fire Dragon level + your Con modifier) for half damage.

Lay on Hands (Su): Beginning at 3rd level, a Warden of the Fire Dragon with a Charisma score of 12 or higher gains the lay on hands ability.

Alternatively, a good aligned Warden of the Fire Dragon can use any or all of this healing power to deal damage to undead creatures. Using lay on hands in this way requires a successful melee touch attack and doesn’t provoke an attack of opportunity. The Warden of the Fire Dragon decides how many of her daily allotment of points to use as damage after successfully touching an undead creature.

Path of Blood/Heart of Fire: At 5th level and every 5 levels there after a Warden of the Fire Dragon can choose a spell 2 levels below the highest level they can cast to be permenently be affected by the empower, extend, enlarge, or widen feat. Only a spell with the healing or fire sub-school can be effected by this ability. This ability does no increase the level of the spell.
