{{Efrey}}: We've decided that the First Claimers are our enemies. Which, sure, fine? Certainly, we're competing for the same positions and the same resources, but I don't think it needs to be personal. The competition plays into our rescue, which is honestly, foolish- working together, we likely could have saved them all. Still, that wasn't our choice; the First Claimers were the ones who wanted to make a race of it.

Delivering supplies to Furnace Row

Wyl Haversham: We got the supplies to the furnace without too much issue...which seemed to surprise our contact Sam Sourgoat.

Namèd Lastnamè My dreams of winter continue. I travel now with other aspects of my mind. My love of nature and growing things calls itself Effrey, my physical impulses are a fierce creation called Stoat, my logic and affection a creation called Wil. I can tell they are parts of my scattered mind as they barely flinch when my song plays in their mind or I forget to use my mouth to talk to them. The dream started mundane with a delivery run for supplies.

Why my mind would make this up I know not. But it is definitely a dream. No time in the quiet room, no bitter medicines, no shock treatments. And the food is better...

Efrey: Having fallen in with this group, it's satisfying to find ways to make myself useful. Humans are, after all, pack animals. I've spent so long ignoring that part of my nature.

Freak avalanche from the new furnaces melting snow

Wyl Haversham: Once the supplies were delivered and we were getting some news from Sam, trouble started in the form of an avalanche. We didn't have time to get out of the way, the amount of snow and ice and stuff made that impossible. Instead we needed to help make the tent withstand the avalanche. I was able to get a wall of solidified air up in time to divert most of the snow. Sam's donkey, however, was caught up in the avalanche...

Namèd Lastnamè

The supplies were for a man named goat and his donkey, or maybe the donkey was in charge? Hard to know in a dream. We weathered an avalanche today. I am concerned that my dreams are so cold and perilous. There must be a wicked draft indeed where I am resting! Still the dream is diverting and I have no desire to wake.

Efrey: A city girl like myself is less suited to being out in the wilderness than I thought. I'm spending a lot of time as a moose. I don't particularly like being a moose. So big, so awkward, so arrogant. Still, it works well when the wilds decide to try and kill you. Not much can kill a moose.

Rescuing a crew from the Coalspire

Wyl Haversham: Avalanche averted, donkey saved, and we find out that a crew that was exploring the Coalspire has not reported back. We took off to find them, essentially racing the First Claimers to get there first. I was able to call upon the spirits of the dead to find the direction to the missing crew, and we got there to find some of the crew grieviously injured. I tried another couple of workings to save them, but couldn't save them all. My efforts cost me a bit of discomfort, but the worst was the failure to save all of the crew members.

Namèd Lastnamè It seems the parts of my mind are united in some purposes. They have named our group the Fancy Badgers. A whimsical name for sure! The dream has a much larger cast than most of my musings. Some are quite rude! Must be my negative self image bleeding through again. I won't mention it to my doctor when I wake up, his medicines taste so bad!

Today we searched for the lost. I am not sure what they represent, but we did lose one. Perhaps a part of myself already gone? My childhood perhaps? Dreams are always hard to read and have meanings within meanings...

Efrey: We've decided that the First Claimers are our enemies.
