• Magic Principal Kai-sen - After the US Dustbowl experience, a portion of the Rocky Mountain Elemental broke off to form a sentient being to try to assist in looking after the world. After a few decades of trying to effect change single-handedly, they settled down to try to help prepare magical youngsters (in their own words) for protecting the world.

• Mundane Principal Leslie Gordon - Leslie is a "corporate education" stooge, tuning the curricula around what local companies say will be useful, cutting "soft" classes to the bone. It's good for vocational training, but bad for everything else. School has the worst rates for college admission in the state. New principle, first year there.

Teachers (see classes page for full class)

• Numerology - Adelbert Zimmermann ("Del Zim" to his students when he's not in ear shot) is an aloof teacher who will keep lecturing at the board for the whole class and not once turn to notice half his students have fallen asleep or skipped out. He is enthusiastic to help students and will always come in early or stay late if asked
• Frequemancy - Mr. Harvey Gallagher has run the class with the same outdated syllabus for nearly 20 years. “Things are the way they are for a reason. They work, and change always comes with the chance of failure. Why change what’s worked for ages? Good solutions are always tested by time.
• Stage Necromancy - Ms. Nora Pinot teaches, and has taught this class for ten years with a perfect safety track record, with fewer accidents then the base level, mundane, Theater Arts course. This year's production will be "The Importance of Being Earnest"
• Channelling - Mr. William Conrad teaches this course, as punishment for a spat he had with the headmaster/principal. It's the course teachers least like to teach, and the course students least want to take
• Cosmetology - Mr. Aidan Pritchett has the most energy of all the teachers in the school, and his classes are renowned for being fun and cheerful. His classroom is considered an alternate library if you count magazines as literature. Few know that Mr. Pritchett gets kickbacks for each licensed magical cosmetologist that signs a blood contract with the Paul Mitchell company.
• Pacts/Shop - Stanislav. Stanislav is a talking bear of unknown age, but claims to have known Catherine the Great (and when no students are present, claims to have known her in the biblical sense). Stanislav has been teaching here for longer than any other teacher. Students who don't follow Stanislav's instruction carefully may find themselves subject to Oaths that… ensure shop safety
• Cryptozoology - Professor Spindlehob, on loan from North Southern University, teaches this class every other year. It is a sentient spirit that tends to inhabit fully articulated action figures, predominantly GI Joe action figures from the late 1990s. There are rumors that it is on loan from the North Southern University due to hijinks the university played on a former headmaster that led to a contract in perpetuity
• Ancient Languages - Professor Cups is the teacher for this course. This course is only offered in Spring semesters every other year. She spends most of her time on the field doing research and the door to her personal office is actual a portal that takes you to her worksite. She often teaches classes on remote via a floating talking skull with spectral hands named Az'gomoth the Foul (who prefers to go by Azgo)
• Drawing - Professor Hemlock is the teacher for this course (and many of the other drawing courses at the school). He's commonly what's known as a changeling (which are just like old lore on them, a fairy stole a human baby and put a fairy baby in it's place). He is a form shifter and prefers masculine type forms but will take on feminine or other depending on his mood. The two things that always let you know it's Professor Hemlock are the bright purple eyes and the streak of white on the right side of the hair for any form he takes. For personality he's a sweetheart to freshman and people in his beginner classes but is more of a hardass to upper classmen and advanced students because he expects more from them.
• Yoga - Gurudevi Pyxis has been leading this class for many years...like....many MANY years. They have been teaching with the school for as long as it has existed and there are records of their tenure at other schools across the world going back at least 500 years. They are rather aloof and each-going, seeming rather detached from the world at large. However they are extremely kind and an excellent teacher who is very popular among the students. While clearly being extremely old, Gurudevi Pyxis resembles a Southeast Asian child of about 10 years old
• Herbalism - Professor Siodhachan O Suileabhain has been experimenting with the cutting edge of biomagical science for longer than anyone knows. His focus area drifts from time to time, though stays squarely in the primagical arena
• Gustomancy - Meister Clark worked for a number of years in the professional magical food service industry. He is unflappable, some say fireproof, and has an iron constitution. Students who claim their failure is inedible will often be forced to eat it after watching him take a bite
• WizPhyz - Doctor Stone was a drill instructor for the magical military for over 10 years and is known to be a no-nonsense instructor. You will leave his class stronger than you entered it, failure is not an option. Be prepared to be pushed beyond your limits. And if the instructor offers to do push ups with you? Be worried
• Dueling Department - Coach "Doc" Docella Dunkleman says any idiot can spell duel, but only a few can become true Pugilmancers. Being able to think on your feet and put your opponents down will open a lot of doors. She is a lean and hard woman but not unkind. Known for drilling avoidance strategies and attack ones in equal measure
• Weather - Captain Rafiki tiki Tavi is a shifter mage of indeterminate origin. To hear them tell the tale you'll hear that they served with Blackbeard in old times, that they helped Gengis Khan subdue enemies, and that the movie Lion King was based loosely on their life. The truth is that they are a very well accomplished weather mage, navigator, and combat mage
• Gardening - Nollaig Aran came by her magic the hard way: being suckered into trading for magic beans. The beans were actually magic, which is the part that she thinks makes her a sucker. She doesn't want to be doing any of this, but she doesn't think the plants will let her leave, either. Students call her "No-Leg" behind her back, as a few years ago a Plutonian Flytrap got its jaws around her. She only suffered minor injuries, but the name stuck.
• MUNDANE Business Economics - Sarah Smith. Competent teacher, rather thorough and empathic. Keeps up with teaching experts (sometimes detrimentally). Big believer in project and group work. Very quiet about private life.

Students

• Angelo Tomlonson the Bully with the vampire-bunny familiar. Particularly keen on tormenting Itzel.
• Louisa Ruddson. Visually, "female Draco Malfoy". 7th grade.
• Aubrey Plaza. Colorguiard study-drug seeker. Very "Not sure if I want to be a bad girl or good girl?"
• Evelyn - mundane former student who has moved back; Jim had a crush on her and frequently fell into being manipulated by her

Town

• Paul Ruddson. Local "owns everything" family patriarch. Louisa's father. Former principal of mundane school, until his father died last year and he inherited it all.
• Jean-Paul Harper. Canadian homeless war vet. Was squatting on your roof. Moved to neighbor's roof forcibly by Feyn. Bought beer.
• The town's three police officers: John Johnson, John "Sonny" Johnson, Jr (related obviously), and unrelated Tacoma Johnson each has a single deputy, two of which are female
