Questions

Must Drama points spent to gain a +10 bonus be declared before initiative is determined or may they be used in this manner on the fly?

Answer from the book:

Players have to announce they are using a Heroic Feat Drama Point during the Intentions phase of a Turn (see Combat, p. 118), or before rolling during non-combat situations. Also, only one Heroic Feat may be performed in a Turn—it can be used either for a skill or Attribute roll, an attack, a defense, or damage, but not more than one of those in the same Turn.

If a player has a dodge action and the baddie swings and misses, must the player use their dodge action since the attack never connected?
"Yes. Technically all actions are declared at the beginning of each round. Just because the bad guy missed doesn't mean you didn't try to jump out of the way of the swing. That being said, I (and many other GMs) aren't strict about enforcing that." -Jason Vey (Author of Dungeons & Zombies and All Tomorrow's Zombies)
