What ruleset?

Bert, would this be a d20 Modern game? Or regular D&D rules that have a steampunk feel? --Randy (Talk) 05:14, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

Randy, more of D&D with a steampunk feel. Think early 19th-20th century, gaslight, coal use, but no cars, computers, or telephones. Guns may even be a possibility but very rare and primitive. Gritty times. Imagine an alternate history where gaslight etc was invented, but the civiliztion that made armor obsolete was not. Melee weapons, armor, magic, all are still in use, but there are some creature comforts. A society that is rich in goods, but poor in the rules of civility. An untamed land with the beginnings of industry. Common items are produced by factories and workhouses, but masterworked and magical items still need to be handmade.--Bert--

I've talked with some of the guys about the disposable and the general comment so far is a dislike for the idea of playing epic. Would you consider running it in the mid-levels (9-14)? Unless you have some of the Canonsburg crew onboard for the epic version. --Randy (Talk) 03:52, 30 December 2009 (UTC)

I guess I could tone it down some, but it does lose something without the primary villain. (CR22) But even at 14 I don't think a group could take him out. Guess I will work on a new villain. I should still be able to come up with something! After all a disposable game day without players is really disposable right? Any interest if the level drops to say...lucky 13?--Bert--
