General discussion

Randy: Feel free to post your creations on the wiki. I would ask that you not post the pages to anyone other than friends for review. I'd like to keep the traffic on the site down. (I only pay $5/month for hosting all my sites, so the transfer rate is low-ish.)

Herman: Damn. The dragon thingies have already been done by Wotc. They even included the three choice format!! (With breath weapon and wings no less!!) Dragonborn of Bahamut

And no this is not a request for approval for the race. It's just interesting that a race that's similar to what I was making is getting published.

Jamison build comments

Randy (9/19): I recommend the feat Knockdown for your 3rd lvl feat for IK. Free Trip attack every time you do more than 10 damage.

Herman: A good idea, but it requires Improved Trip and Combat Expertise as prerequisites. It would be great if I hadn't decided to go for a crit heavy build, or if Jamison were a fighter. Although it is tempting, especially if Jamison Multiclasses into Human Paragon for the extra feat and gives the +2 to stregnth.

Randy (9/20): Does your crit heavy build have Power Critical? (adds +4 to confirm a crit)

Herman:That's the sixth level feat.

Daryl "Str 16 Dex 12 Con 14 Int 10 Wis 10 Cha 14" 10+4+6+2+2+6 = 30. Point buy is 29, not 30. Unless my math is wrong.

Herman:Con 13, the 14 is a typo.

Complete Psion

Randy: You mentioned that there is going to be a Complete Psion book. I haven't been able to find a listing for it on the WotC product list. Where did you hear this?

Herman: It was a blurb on the side of a page on the Wotc site. It's on the Paizo website: Complete Psion

Randy: Thanks for the link. Looks kind of sketchy to me, without a cover. Hopefully it will actually get made. (I love psionics! It's too bad Daryl doesn't permit them ... bastard.)

We'll probably see a preview/plug for Complete Psion on the Wotc site in a month or two. If we don't, then I'll start to worry. Right now I'm looking forward to Races of the Dragon and the Dragon Compendium actually showing up at Phantom. I might call phantom and ask if they can cancel a special order so I can buy the Compendium from Paizo itself! I know it's harsh, but the BESM book took months and it was the exact same problem. (Fat lot of good BESM does me, I'd have to take WEEKS to house rule everything to meet 3.5 D&D standards)

Randy: I found the offical release info for the Complete Psion. Can't wait.

Herman A thought just occurred to me. I bet a decent amount of material in Complete Psionic will be from the Mind's Eye articles on the Wotc Website. I don't think that that's a bad thing. I really like some of the classes from the Mind's Eye article. (Like the Psychic Weapon Master & the Psionic Rogue.) Having them in a printed book would be great.

Hexblade feats

Randy: I also just picked up Dragon #339 and it has new Hexblade feats that you may want to look at for Jamison.

Herman: I second that. He has that dislike of Dragon Magazine too! If I can talk him into allowing the Hexblade feats Jamison will definitely get them as his bonus feats. Spell Focus and Spell penetration aren't the best for a Hexblade, Hexblades are better as self enhancing fighters, to relieve the other casters of a few rounds of buffing, IMHO.

Review of material for Cohort

Randy: I've reviewed the prestige classes and spells that you wanted me to review. All but two spells are approved. I also took a look at the Dragon racial levels, and they seem well done.

Herman: Thanks. It looks like Emerald Planes and Disc of Concordant Opposition were the denied spells. (A nightmare to track and the perfect no evidence greedy killer spell, they weren't high priority anyway.) There is another dragon magazine that has racial levels for Chromatic Dragons too. But I've decided to go with Althea, so actually playing a dragon will have to wait. Though I won't be surprised if you give them a playtest at some point.

Althea DM review

Randy: I've reviewed Althea. Good to go.
