DM clarification

The ship/contents are from the prime material. They're from an alternate prime than this one, however. All references below to "another plane" are close enough to the truth and not worth fixing.

Negotiating with the Wu Jen

Wild24.png

Pirate.gif Brilla While still on the Dream Realm, we met with and negotiated with the Wu Jen who was upset at his lot in life aboard the massive ship Bludgeon. Despite my lack of skills in the area, I managed to talk him into helping us sabotage the ship to create a delay so that we could warn the dwarves of Drn Tg of the impending attack.

It was determined that the best route of sabotage was for the Wu Jen to cast Move Earth and beach the ship. As a captain, I almost felt sorry for the Bludgeon. The spell took a little over four hours to cast and once complete, the villainous Uriah bolted off the ship, seeking the cause.

Escaping via the Dream realm and teleport, our group reunited at in the dream castle where the Wu Jen decided to follow us back to Gnala. (Brilla's part was written by Randy)

🎲 DM Remember, he was willing to sabotage the ship, but not to harm it significantly.

Fuelwen-icon.gif Fuelwen: We learned a great deal about this invading force. They do not originate on this plane. The Wu Jen (who wishes his name be unspoken), worked with other magic users to summon Uriah. Uriah turned against them, and now the Wu Jen is trapped as his second in command.

In exchange for learning how to teleport across the dream plane, the Wu Jen worked his sabotage.

I am torn. We have taken risks to defend Drn Tg, not because I feel any need to protect Drn Tg, but because I recognize that this invading force is a threat to my ambition. Chaotic, wasteful, and powerful, they must be stopped.

🎲 DM Some to most of the crew/soldiers are native of the plane. But the rest, definitely the tops and original men, are not.

Gnala, rejoining the Red Tide

Fuelwen-icon.gif Fuelwen: Sabotage completed, we hurried back to Gnala, the Wu Jen in tow. Uriah knows that he is the culprit- a scrying spell was used to track the Wu Jen to Gnala. This means that Uriah will likely continue to Gnala from Drn Tg, if he feels vengeful. There are many stops on the path, and many possible barriers to his progress.

Knowing the Wu Jen is not from our plane, I directed him to the Acherai. Hopefully, from Acheron, he can find his way back to his own plane.

Finally, in the dream plane, I was free to swim back to Seawolves' Folly. I dawdled there. It has been weeks since I have had a fair swim.

Nathaniel-skull.gif Nathaniel: Asking about his home plane, I was shocked to discover that he was not from another plane, but from a mirror of our own! I was fascinated but unfortunately time constraints prevented me from learning more. I wonder, is there a mirror world where I am not what I am today?

Sailing for Drn Tg, ring of plants

Quick Stop in Great Fortress

  • Tendriculous fight!

Nathaniel-skull.gif Nathaniel: I broke the cardinal rule of my training as a caster, I approached the plant beast. Remembering that they are typically of slightly higher than animal intelligence, I felt protected behind my wall of animations. Sadly this specimen was far more intelligent and grappled me in it's tentacle. Barely moments before the beast would destroy me my animations and companions where able to reduce the creature to ribbons. The Curse of the Sea-witch is as much a blessing as a curse.

Nathaniel is promoted to Staff Sergeant by the dwarves

Nathaniel-skull.gif Nathaniel I will swallow their souls! (Nathaniel's part was written by Eric)
