Encounter at Sea ("Was that LIFO or FIFO?")
Cahlo: Bo is so fucked. I can't believe Brilla did that. Remind me not to piss off the Cap'n. Also, remind me to ask for a raise. Ethyl tells me that that spell would have affected me just a few weeks ago but it would now. Not sayin' I'm happy, but damn I'm glad for that. I've never seen 20 people just all drop dead at once. It was a horror.
Brilla: Ah, back to my well trained, obedient, likeable, competent crew. Scratch that, as Bo brings about an Inevitable that kills off the entire crew. Needless to say, this is not a happy event.
I was lucky in getting off a curse that makes the create do all of its to-do list backwards. It is easily fixable by just reversing the order, but knowing a modron it will have to do everything else first before making this adjustment. I'm not sure how much time, but at least we can get somewhere safe and we know what is coming for us.
🎲 DM Inevitables are not modrons. Similar, but not the same.
Wild Tentacles ("Skeleton Crew?")
Cahlo: Our ship is pretty intimidating now that it's been repaired with all this black wood. It's a shame that Big passed away. He was a nice guy, for a giant. All the giants back home are dicks.
Brilla: Either the gnomes left or were killed off by the thrikreen. Either way, we are able to do our repairs.
On a sad not, we find that Big has died. this is troubling, as we know Mother was dying was well. We decide to check on all of the cyclopian creatures to see if this is a mass death. If so, the hags knowledge is left wide open. A great win for us!
Drnn Tg ("It's a plus two!")
Cahlo: Bo says this is the end of Drnn Tg as an independent state and the beginning of it as a province of Fan. It's an interesting lesson. I never thought about the "kill them with kindness" kind of invasion before. I bet Do Good could use that.
Brilla: We take a small break here to collect ourselves and check our holdings. Fixing the sword is going pretty well, Firebird has done a good bit of research for us, and the Bloodstorm is back. Two out of three isn't bad.
We demolish a makeshift shrine to the Bloodstorm and decide it may be best to hit the road as not to have two enemies hit us at once.
Great Fortress ("FOOD! FOOD! FOOD! FOOD! FOOD!")
Cahlo: This place is a nice city. I could settle down here, despite the rampant bribing.
Brilla: We find the Celestines here and Fuelwen ask them for his favor to ask their god for help with the star whale. I'm not sure how successful they will be, but time can only tell.
We also gain the aid of a pigeon that was meant to tell someone of our arrival. We find that it is in the direction of Lull and quickly set sail. We have a suspicion that it is where Rake first "found God."
Lull
Quiet Citadel ("Build another row.")
Cahlo: This was a bloodbath. I was looking forward to this place, I'd heard so much about its dysfunctional society being an extreme of Do Good.
Brilla: It finally fell. I suppose that they only had to pike half the people as the other half would to it to themselves or some such nonsense.
Hazy Hamlet ("For the Blood Storm!")
Cahlo: By Johydee, not Ko!
Brilla: Ko turned out to be quite a beast in his enlarged state. He took a multitude of blast the quickly drained him of life. I'm glad they weren't at me, but I'm still saddened at the loss of one of our most enlightened companions.
