Wild:Custom/Erf

From Drinking and Dragons

Lesser Erf

Any creature that has a significant amount of dwarven and elven blood counts as an erf. Since dwarf and elf are dominant races (Wild:Custom), erfs aren't uncommon by any means. They don't indicate a dwarf and elf ever specifically breeding.

  • Medium: As Medium creatures, erves have no special bonuses or penalties due to their size.
  • Erf base land speed is 30 feet.
  • Darkvision: Erves can see in the dark up to 40 feet. Darkvision is black and white only, but it is otherwise like normal sight, and erves can function just fine with no light at all.
  • Low-Light Vision: An erf can see twice as far as a human in starlight, moonlight, torchlight, and similar conditions of poor illumination. She retains the ability to distinguish color and detail under these conditions.
  • Elven Blood: For all effects related to race, an erf is considered an elf.
  • Dwarven Blood: For all effects related to race, an erf is considered a dwarf.
  • Weapon proficiency: As an oddity herself, an erf gains exotic weapon proficiency in any one weapon.
  • Automatic Languages: Common. Bonus Languages: Any.
  • Favored Class: Any. When determining whether a multiclass erf takes an experience point penalty, her highest-level class does not count.

"Pureblood" Erf

This race is nearly, or exactly, 50%/50% Dwarf/Elf. They are exceptionally rare. (Morovian was one.)

Erves always have strong personalities and love to get their way. They are both stubborn and aloof. They are natural leaders, but often fail to attain such posts because of their inherent inflexibility, feelings of superiority and selfishness. Whereas their parent races tend towards good, erves generally favor evil alignments. Erves are often loners in the world, but are often known to swallow it and put up a good face in public events.

Physically, an erf is about the height of shorter humans. They weigh about the same. They have broader shoulders and shorter arms/legs than a human would, while their torso is slightly exaggerated.
