Hut of Horror
Dario: Nict sculpts an image of Sala's hut using fire and from that Isade is able to transport us there. When we arrive the fear is palpable in the air as rain pours down sideways outside a nightmarish caricature of Sala's home. To help counter the fear I see affecting the others I pull upon my connection to Venal and "power up" my aura, granting the others the immunity to fear that I naturally have.
Tarralon begins to open the door with his crowbar and changes his mind. He argues that it's possible that we could be tearing down Sala's last remaining defenses against the Phantasmal Killer. This gives me pause, and I knock on the door, yelling for Sala's attention. With no reply I begin smashing the door in. A wave of doubt pours over me and rolls off of me like water and I continue until the door is smashed in.
Meanwhile, Tarralon has carefully opened a hole in the hut window and climbed inside. There seem to be two separate rooms with Sala as a child with her parents and both of them are being attacked by zombies. Given the attack patterns, it's pretty easy to suss out that magic is tricking us into attacking each other. This is made known and we being to explore the hut.
Boss Fight
Dario: We open a door and find that the enemy we seek is holed up in the hut—as a room! Tentacles writhe and the fear is so pervasive that it causes my aura to buckle several times. The battle was fierce and seemed to last an eternity. Without the help of my allies, specifically Tarralon and Thaddeus, I would not have been able to hold it at bay while the others used their abilities from afar. As seems to be the case in battles lately, it ends with me barely scratched.
