Description

The Invocative Pactmaster is a binder that has learned to extend the power that he can manifest past that of his visteges. Through countless bindings, he is able to manifest the latent powers that he possesed at one time or another in the course of him being a binder. Over time, the eldritch pactmaster is able to return some of this latent power back to his bound vistege to further power the pact that he has.

NOTE: Eldritch blast can be substituted for other abilities provided by invocational class abilities that are similiar, such as the dragonfire adept's breath weapon for purpose of the abilities this class bestows.

Class Features

All of the following are class features of the Invocative Pactmaster class.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A Invocative Pactmaster does not gain any additional armor and weapon proficiencies.

Soul Binding Bonus: At each Invocative Pactmaster level, your soul binding ability improves as if you had also gained a level in the binder class. Your Invocative Pactmaster levels and binder levels stack for the purpose of determining your bonus on binding checks, the effectiveness of your vestige-granted abilities, your ability to bind higher-level vestiges, and the number of vestiges you can bind. You do not, however, gain any other benefit a binder would have gained.

Invocations: At each level except for 3 and 7, you gain new invocations known and an increase in caster level as if you had also gained a level in an invocation-using class to which you belonged before adding the prestige class level. (This includes eldritch blast). You do not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. If you had more than one invocation-using class before becoming an Invocative Pactmaster, you must decide to which class to add each level for the purpose of determining caster level and invocations known.

Invocative Offering (Su):At 3rd level, the Invocative Pactmaster is able to channel their supernatural energy into a bound vestige to refresh a spend power faster. The Invocative Pactmaster can choose to lose the ability to manifest an invocation (except blast essence or blast shape invocations) or use their eldritch blast for 5 rounds in order to reduce the wait time of a vestige ability that recharges every 5 rounds by 1 round. You may sacrifice multiple invocations this way, each reduces the recharge by 1 round. Using this ability is a swift action.

This may be done at any time during the vestiges recharge period, though it can never reduce the remaining recharge time to less than 1 round.

At 7th level, you are able to reduce the recharge time of a vestige power by faster. Least invocations are unchanged, but lesser invocations reduce the recharge by 2 rounds, greater invocations by 3, and dark invocations by 5. Eldritch blast counts as a least invocation.

Invocation fron Beyond (Su): At 10th level, you learn of the existence of vestiges beyond those normally contacted. You may forfeit one of the vestiges to which you may bind to know any one additional invocation of any level allowed to you. You can use or not use this ability whenever you bind to vestiges (which may be more than once per day, if using Expel Vestiges, for example). Each time this ability is used (including the first), all binding checks suffer a cumulative -5 penalty. You may only learn one extra invocation at a time in this way. If you expel the "invocation vestige", consider that any currently active uses of it are dismissed or dispelled. Binding a vestige takes the same amount of time as it usually would.
