On the Seas Again
Brilla: Not long after getting reaquainted with the inn we were attacked by meagic-eating cockroaches. The fight wasn't too difficult, but I was determined to make it worse on myself. Once the fight was over we headed back to the Wilding.
It feels good to be on familiar ground again. Seeing all of those sights were nice, but I'd like to do it again without the stress of the end of our world on me.
It is good to see the my cousin has done a bit of maturing. It appears he has also been getting some combat experience to go with it as well. There is now a slight air of responsibility about him. I'm going to have to figure out what brought this about.
Del'Conner is also turning into quite the man himself. He is still reserved, but I can tell some exposure to the world has hardened him. He now has that dark, brooding hero aura about him. Hmmm... oh, um, where was I?
Even my diabolic charge has done some growing up. She is nearly as tall as me now, and she seems to have shown me some affection. They do say that distance makes the heart grow fonder. None the less, she did try to talk a present out of me, of which I gave her a choice of outfit I gained from Sigil. She chose the yellow one. An odd choice, but it seems to suit her in some odd way. I was partial to the soft blue one, so I'm glad she didn't take my favorite.
After discussing the onslaught of the Wilding storms, we decided it would be best to head to Drn'Tg to gather our assets and give a home to the Celestines. I have a good bit of property there that I am more than willing to give away.
Fuelwen: My inn is ravaged, but frankly- I can't feel much ire about it. There are more pressing matters. We dispatched the creatures responsible with alacrity.
Splat: That- that… devil. I forgot how much I hate her. But it's okay. Goodness always triumphs over bitchiness.
Measuring Our Assets
Brilla: One of my first orders of business was to visit Firebird. I was deadly serious this time; I only squealed twice. I told him of our current planar plight and that we may be needing a lawyer. He increased his fees, which was easily covered by the increased revenue that my properties have been generating.
There has also been some progress on the scimitar in my college. They have started traveling the planes in a search for answers. I'm glad that they mostly work for the prestige and the quest for knowledge. Once restored, I'm sure the sword could sell for up to twice the value due to the unique history behind it. I just need to find the nearest Artifact Road Show.
It looks like there have been some socio-political cooling in Drn'Tg as well. The gnomes and dwarves now rule the city on a 50/50 split, though the dwarves outnumber the gnomes. This feels a bit fair on both parties ends, and I hope the island can prosper under this rule. Especially since both sides now in control are inclined toward me and the rest of the party.
Tsk'Tsk also takes some time to research his dragon while here. There is a lot of misinformation going around, and the only way to really find out what is going on is to check it out ourselves. Chances are if we don't deal with this soon are that Tsk'Tsk will become rebellious. We might as well nip this in the bud soon or we may have some dissension in the ranks.
Fuelwen: Now that we have returned, it is a good time to tackle Tsk'Tsk's quest. I spend some time on Drn Tg laying down some plans for the assault. I do not think we can beard the dragon in its den; we must draw it out somehow.
Raked Over the Coals
Brilla: Tsk'Tsk was approached by a man with many jewels and fancy robes and request a meetup about the Wilding Preservation Society, a creation of Bo. They made a time and place, and we waited.
We were very surprised to be ambushed by two drakes that said they served the Bloodstorm. This caused a throaty gulp from Bo, Fuelwen, and myself. We always feared that Rake would come back to haunt us in some way, and he really did in the worst case possible.
Fuelwen was able to take one of the drakes down in a single swing. This made him the target of the invisible mastermind, the guy that Tsk'Tsk talked to. Fuelwen nearly met his death again as his mind was attacked with visions of horror. He kept screaming "This should be Tsk'Tsk" as he ran in panic to the basement of the ruined building.
The two drakes went down, getting rid of two moderate outsiders, but the priest still remains. We are going to have to keep our eyes open for leads into who this is, and who Rake may have recruited to his silly cult in his travels.
Fuelwen: I always had a sense that we were not done with Rake. Not truly. The arrival of a worshiper of the Bloodstorm indicates that I was correct. This is little more than a distraction from our main goals, but it's a nearly fatal one. Illusion magics that can kill still prey upon my mind.
