Talking with Tungortok at The Boiler & Bleed

Efrey: A riotous, scuzzy dive bar. One of my favorite kinds of places. Humans are animals, and if you cram enough of them together, pour in enough alcohol, and shake- the animal comes out.

Speaking of animals- Hodo and Podo try and recruit Stoat into an underground fighting ring. With betting. Now that's a great way to make some script, right there. I may not have the eye for picking a winner, but I can pick a loser like nobody's business, and that's half the battle.

But we don't go straight there. No, we do some work- try and get Tungortok to hire us, or really, Wyl, for construction work. I ask the yeast in the building for some insight on Tungortok, which is useful, but more attention-getting than I hoped.

Word of ice rabies is spreading. Steve Crow-Face knows about it. The Abbess Ashrael is sitting vigil over the recently deceased.

Literally, an underground fight club

Efrey: But we do come back to the fight club. And it's everything I hoped it would be. Full of sweat-stink and beer-stink and alive.

We learn a few things that are useful. Genovia is lucky- too lucky, if you ask me. Solange imported the locks used on the money bags.

Template:Named: Today the dream both enlightened and frightened me. A secret fighting arena appears. A symbol of the hidden conflicts I have with myself? More concerning is that for a short time I was entirely convinced it was real. Are my delusions getting stronger? Is my medicine starting to fail? When I wake I will have to inform my doctors.

Midnight pyre and the dead suspect

Efrey: That last bit isn't as useful as one might think- the Abbess does have zombie troubles. And Solange freaks out, runs off, trips, falls, and breaks his neck. Oops.

He probably has ice rabies. I raid his pockets, and then drop him with the Abbess. We spend a chunk of the night helping set up the pyre, because obviously- this is a problem. I collect some ice rabies meltwater.

Template:Named: My mental archetypes guided me to a pyre for the dead. Is my mind trying to heal by showing the catharsis of removing things I no longer need? This mystery in the dream confuses me. Is it symbolic? Trying to uncover the things I hide from myself? The revolution could represent my desire for freedom. Is it guiding me to self examination?

After the investigation I found myself back in the hospital. The chill and my old restraints. Yet still it feels like just as much of a dream as Skarnheim. Yet before I was there I saw into the dreams of my other aspects. Such things are not real. And yet which is the hallucination?

Daryl's Raw Notes

Tungortok - Not in the furnace row, he's at the tavern, "The Boiler & Bleed"

Named: Telepathic drunk ordering

Efrey awakens yeast to aask rumors about T -- he's a long time spender, sipper Tungortok is the former lover of Stoat's "battle brother". Wolf-at-Waist Attacks groins to see if it's armored. Cannot keep a single hairstyle. Always changing it. Terribly afraid of the dark, always has a lantern ready to light.

Yeast is named Everbrew

Stoat sidles up next to Tungortok, fails an introduction via Wolf-at-Waist Explain tents... Success. Progress. Wyl: "animates" charcoal to show it. Clears timer. Success. Meet him tomrorow, take it out.

Kodo & Podo, recruiting fighters for "underground" fights. Stoat say's he's in (no weapons...) if they get one that they expect to be well-attended

Steve Crowface on the way back to the tent (the curse-eater) "Hepatitis Ice". Abess Ashriel is sitting vigil at the graves/the coinfather

We visit games to watch how they are. NPC list. genovia. solstice. katarina wildwite Named = normal Efrey = robbed by Raye, but stopped. Wyl = interrogated by Katarina

Genovia makes a good killing on the fight betting. Locks on the betting money bags are made/sold by Solange

Funeral pyre of all those dead from the avalanch. Some recently dead... Solange -- wearing his temple robes (but isn't ordained)

Efrey 'contacts' the Icerabbies. Gets vexed. Gives it to Solange, who bolts.

We guard pyre while it burns. Talk to Abbess Ashriel She asks us to find Solange and make sure he's OK... We track him to his "Taj Mahal" [in the dream] He tripped, got knocked out. * has 4 wallets -- different levels of "destitute" in each * Incense * IOUs -- his copy of promisory notes He dies before we are able to apply any medical aid. Named flirts with ice rabies: 'cause we fail... Take him to the Abbess Abbess does rites, burn him.

Named reads our dreams. Wyl: Bookshelves + tea. Efrey: infinite cityscape and coyote fun. Stoat: 'orgy' with Wolf-at-Waist, our wives... post a great hunting session. Fun all around. Morning after: Make the battle brother pact. Named shares his dream with the rest of us: Mental infirmary flashback... "Be normal."

Tungortok: In good with sootsnakes. Odds with consortium. Parents: normies. Interviewing him... he's a revolutionary sympathizer for sure. Thinks Wyl is too.

Notes

  • Naméd had a brief moment of pure sanity, for unknown reasons
  • Tungortok thinks that Wyl is an active revolutionary
  • Wolf at Waist is Stoat's battle brother and used to date Tungortok
  • Party recommended Raye to recruit for the underground fight club
