Fire-breathing Statue
Template:Grog: We are in town for a breather after the horrible fight in the very first room of the dungeon... All "we" even got out of the room was a pearl that the wizard is keen on keeping. I'm not sure it's worth going on as the gold we use on potions is worth more than the pearl.
Anyway, we get back into town & mean Carmine. He's... an interesting sort. He's the most meticulous barbarian I've ever met. Fairly nasally, too, but it can't help to have another heavy hitter.
When we go back in we follow the doors directly across from the entrance. Carmine gets caught in a magical wind against the wall & a statue opens fire on him... with fire. He pulls himself out & puts out the fire. This dungeon is definitely getting on my nerves.
Malformed Goblins
Template:Grog: We follow the door that doesn't require us to pass through the flames of death, & we find a room with weird, misshapen goblins & their imp taskmaster. I corner the imp & destroy it, but he releases the goblins. This group can actually work well once in a while because we take them out without incident except for the Seeker of Knowledge keeping one, I don't know, as a pet or something, I guess. I don't see why you'd want to keep one. They smell pretty bad, & this one had tentacles instead of legs.
Earth Elemental with a Grudge
Template:Grog: We go to the next area & find an open room with a piece of machinery in the corner, but an earth elemental bars our way. It says it wants Azaven. I'm all to happy to be rid of him at first. Then I remember he has that pearl. Looked valuable... Okay, I make a quick plan to get Azaven to go to it & we attack the thing. It's a grueling fight. I'm knocked out, but I'm brought back to consciousness when Seeker's goblin TAKES OFF THREE OF MY TOES!!! Eventually, we take down the elemental though.
The magic users go investigate the machine & pick up some sort of stone that seems to have some energy coming off of it. It looks valuable, too. Azaven's is seeming more valuable to me by the second. We decide to crash here for the night.
