Omeprazole is offended by anything that resembles a Celestian holy symbol

Tsktsk-icon.gif TskTsk: Omeprazole wraps up his discussion with us, informing us that he has a more powerful clutchmate to report to—Zirtek. As we move throughout the halls Omeprazole notices a Celestian holy symbol that Bo forgot he had and a fight nearly breaks out. With some fierce negotiating we calm things down and avoid a fight.

As we move to meet with Zirtek, we notice that only the Outer Planes have portals in this complex. None of the inner planes have portals here. I only know this because that's what Fuelwen and Omeprazole said.

Fuelwen-icon.gif Fuelwen: After a brief misunderstanding, the Inevitable takes us to see his superior. Essentially, they want us to help them defeat the Entropic Reaper in exchange for a boon. I still think he may be a menace out of our abilities, but with the aid of two Inevitables of great power, I think the field is more even.

It will be a challenge.

Pirate.gif Brilla: The inevitables are extremest to a high degree. This does not mix well with Bo, an extremist when it comes to being a curmudgeon. Bo had a stray holy symbol of Celestian that caused a good bit of ire in Omeprazole. To appease Omeprazole, he wanted Bo to defile the holy symbol. Not wanting to anger his gods and their possible relations to Celestian, he simply removed it and let the inevitable destroy it. That was a good bit of karma I was glad to escape.

After this fiasco we were back on task to find the entropic reaper. He agreed to help us with his superior, Zirtek. It would be nice to have some allies for the upcoming fight. With their previous scuffles with the beast I'm sure their insight would be invaluable.

Our quarry stands in a puddle of goblins

Tsktsk-icon.gif TskTsk: After a short talk with Zirtek we hear screaming from nearby! We move quickly but tactically to engage, with our new companions casting buffs on us.

Fuelwen-icon.gif Fuelwen: It was not a challenge. The only challenge this creature provided was in his death- he cursed us all. I am now compelled to live for a year in Limbo, and I was briefly blind and insane- Bo helped relieve me of those conditions.

We take, as a portion of our boon, a cure for that condition.

Pirate.gif Brilla: We heard some goblinish screams coming from far down a corridor. This was most likely the entropic reaper and we made great haste to its location. Zirtek provided us with some invisibility and we then scouted ahead to see the creature. It had a pile of melty goblin beneath it. A foul sight and smell indeed.

The fight was not at all what we expected. With some potions to aid Fuelwen and TskTsk in piercing the creatures flesh, it was quite the easy fight. I even took to joining the melee to remove the creatures magical defenses at one point.

This creature proved most troublesome when it reached its final rest. It placed a geas upon Fuelwen and myself that was must live in Limbo for a year. I know the spell can't last that long, but it is still quite compelling.

For defeating the creature we were offered reward by the inevitable. That which we crave most is a cure to our affliction. Sadly, this comes with a two day wait.

Before leaving, we were interrogated about the location of possible Celestians. Bo was placed under a discern lies to make sure he was honest as well. I did not outright lie, but I did omit some facts and stretch my words a bit. These people are extremist and could be very dangerous if given a set course. I need to keep the potentially innocent protected until I get the full story.

Leonal tracker pounces out of a portal

Fuelwen-icon.gif Fuelwen: With the main threat in this temple dispatched, we go to find a place to sleep. Both Brilla and I are compelled to visit Limbo, so we settle on a room with a portal to Asgaard instead- while it's unlikely that we could activate the Limbo portal without the appropriate key (leant to the Inevitables for a few days), there's no reason to take chances.

That morning, a Leonal appeared in our chamber. He had been tracking a traitor, and warned us to kill it on sight. It's unlikely that both the Leonal and his quarry stumbled into our plane, so I suspect that he won't find what he seeks here. With no way to activate the Asgaard portal, he's stuck until he can find a better way to travel.

Pirate.gif Brilla: Making camp was quite a difficult decision. We gave up the key to Limbo until the inevitables returned. This was to prevent us from making the dire mistake of trying to fulfill our geas.

There was much debate on which portal to sleep in front of. We doubted anything would come through, but there may be a slight influence that came forth from these gates. I was talked out of staying in front of the limbo portal and then suggested Asgard. It played to most everyones personality in the group and seemed the safest to be at.

Oddly enough, we did get a visitor near the end of our sleep. A leonal came through the portal on the hunt of a stray celestial. He told us to be wary is it betrayed the celestial host to either the demons or the devils and it was to be killed on sight. I'm not entirely trusting, but we will be wary. Amazed that he couldn't go back, he now finds himself stuck with us.

Also... OMG he is so cute and fluffy and soft! ::squee::

Rewards

Wiki update reward (all are one-time-uses, of course):

  • TskTsk: Frustrated frenzy. When making a full attack against a foe which you cannot sneak attack or overcome DR, you can make a frustrated frenzy. You gain an additional full attack routine against that foe.
  • Brilla: Shelter flock. Can extend your energy resistances or SR to all allies within 30' for a number of rounds equal to your CHA modifier. Free action.
  • Fuelwen: Advanced foe study. Once attack like a Death Attack. Instead of a sneak attack, it triggers off an attack in which you have channeled a spell as well as swift cast in the same round. It still only works against creatures that are not immune to critical hits/etc.
