Aging

Okay, even ignoring the decimation to the stats... For the 15 years to have passed to take Belos to middle age (19 start, +1 adventuring, +15 to middle age 35), his wife would have moved on to one or two other husbands. His kids would have grown up. His reasons for adventuring would have evaporated; he would have failed at them. To lesser importance, even the itself world would have changed quite a bit (which he would not cope with well; low cha).

He really would just find his way to a shallow grave as quickly as possible. Even a non-penaltied 5 years would push what he'd be able to cope would and would likely force him into immediate retirement with whatever he had then. If it's magical aging, then his wife didn't age, which would have similar results. Chances of him allowing her to take him back home at that point are slim, etc. Though he'd probably still adventure here and there for money to send for children. Apathy would set in quickly, however, as he knows he wouldn't have a home to go back to. --Mqs 04:06, 15 January 2010 (UTC)

This was a big twist that was thrown at the group. The scenario that you present above is only a potential scenario, and one which you can control. (Perhaps your wife, seeing that no one else cared for her the way that Belos did, took up adventuring to find him once the kids were old enough?) If you feel that Belos will throw his life away at this point, I'll allow you create a new character.

I'm chiming in here. Magically aged beings do not gain the benefit of experience, ie int, wis, cha. If we aged a set time KL was likely unaffected; per Pureblood Kio(age as half-elf; current? 17, middle 62). Please choose option and inform on session page.--Arz 15:02, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
I was going to apply the bonus to mental stats, as the strange realm you were in expanded your mind by exposing you to such bizarre things. (Reset Indent)My intention with the time distortion was to have the whole group feel the effects of aging. As Mike commented on another page, Kweto ages at a different rate, which I didn't realize, making the penalties for aging apply only to half the group. (Do note that Eric's new character, Siyrt, was not aged, which would've been a boon for that character.) Because the penalties for aging won't apply fairly to the group, I'm going to rollback the distance in time by a few years. This will put everyone in their early 30s as slightly over a decade has passed. --Randy (Talk) 15:21, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
