• Major childhood influences, traumas, events, emotional wounds: Siyrt is one of the youngest ever inducted into the Wardens of the Fire Dragon. He was groomed for this at an early age and all he knows is his duty to the Black Talons.
• Talents: He is smarter than most other Black Talon males, giving him an advantage in his society.
• Flaws, vulnerabilities: He believes that the Fire Dragon guides everything he does, leaving most that he does to fate and gives himself little credit for his own actions.

  • Two S'phul'ess - A member of Siyrt's Black Talon clan that has decided that males do not belong in any order of their religion. She is one of the few that can whisper into the matriarch's ear. She is the one that has suggested that Siyrt take such a dangerous task, as well as many other Warden's of the Fire Dragon, in an attempt to thin the herd of pious male ss'ressen.
