← Prev: 2 Storming the Russian Base   |

Starring: Bigby Wolf, Captain John Starr, Dr Dare, Vic Savage, and Agent Joykill
Guest Starring: Dr Willenthorp
Challenge: Overcoming the ship so that it doesn't attack Washington DC; Defeating Dr Willenthorp
Location: Russian-controlled Qatar spaceship
Date Played: 20 July 2015

Getting on the Spaceship

🎲 DM: As the spaceship takes off the cast runs back to their motley starship—with attached Winnebago—to catch up. Wolf tries to give Starr a rousing speech but with all the noise it can't be heard. As the cast takes off Agent Joykill eggs Starr on to ram into the ship to get everyone on board, so Starr takes an educated guess on where a docking station might be and strikes gold.

Unfortunately the ship breaks apart as it gets aboard and the explosion propels the Winnebago portion several floors up and sticks into the wall. With Dr Dare aboard.

Plan of Action

🎲 DM: The party, sans Dare, huddles up and determines a course of action.

  • Joykill and Starr—Create a distraction by fighting the Russians rushing towards the hangar.
  • Vic and Dare—Get to the control room and disable the ship
  • Wolf—Infiltrate the Russians to find out where the escape pods are

This scene had the following aspects—Roving Packs of Soliders (Three free invokes), Alien Hallways (Two free invokes) (complex, lots of bulkheads)

The cast is successful.

The Robotic Tentacled Body of Dr Willenthorp

🎲 DM: Crawling out of one of the Alien Hallways is Dr Willenthorp's head on a large kraken-like body with dozens of robotic alien tentacles. Bolted on his "shoulders" are Russian surface-to-air missiles.

The fight was setup with the following "characters"—Troops, Missile Launchers, Tentacles, and once two of those were taken out, Dr Willenthorp's head could be fought.

Dr Willenthorp
Aspects—Head of the Russians, Super Scientists, Alien Tech Body
Three single stress boxes (1 point each, many can be checked per hit)
+3 to stuff
Tentacles
Aspects—None
Five single stress boxes (1 point each, many can be checked per hit)
Missile Launcher
Aspects—none
Three single stress boxes (1 point each, many can be checked per hit)
+2 to attack; Weapon:3
Troop
Aspects—none
Six single stress boxes (1 point each, many can be checked per hit)

In this fight Agent Joykill ROCKED OUT. She gave a 12 stress hit to the missile launcher and it slid straight to Star, who then used it to blow a giant hole in the tentacles. (TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK.)

In return Dr Willenthorp hit back just as hard, giving Joykill Broken Ribs (Mild) and Broken Legs (Moderate). She barely had enough time to concede, though Willenthorp was taken out before it came to that.

Epilogue

🎲 DM: In proper 80s fashion, each hero had a end scene montage.

  • Joykill—Rehab montage
  • Wolf—Reveals himself as having infiltrated Alpha's gang and finally putting him down
  • Starr—Promoted
  • Dare—Studying Mathemagic further and spontaneously teleporting away
  • Vic—Going back on tour and getting into a fight with the lizard people disguised as fans.
