Ukraine 1908
Saiti: We awaken, having been blown through time from the blast of Dr Dare's efforts, near the Stony Tunguska River in Russia, in 1908. We are the Tunguska Event. There is an anomaly, the alternate world Dr David Darrington (String Theory Dare) came along with us.
This leads to an argument between the Dare's. Turns out that the Globtrons were actually sharing tech with Earth. Perhaps there was more going on than we realized? Did we avert a world peaceof some sort?
A horse and wagon approaches and it is Nikola Tesla, who knew that we would show up here. It turns out that Tesla and Dare are close friends, at different points in their own time streams.
Dr Dare wisely decides to use his mathemagics to try and figure out where there is the most disruption in the time stream. I figure that after that impressive blast, he has this and take advantage of the moment to get a sleep in. The nap is short-lived however, as an army of beasts from throughout history, led by Wolf Alpha, comes charging at us.
Neferhotep sets up a powerful ward—I briefly consider chasing the lights—while Herb powers up the Casio paw computer. We manage to get into the time stream before the fight heads south on us.
Columbia University 2015
Saiti: As soon as we land in 2015 I hiss at the air. The sky is red. RED. It turns out that the Globtrons have begun to terraform Earth into a new home for them. I start to look for ways into the heavily guarded with lasers and troops Mathematics building, after I get rid of a few rodents first.
Upon finding a way in I start to reconnoiter the place and we formulate a plan to blow the power as a distraction so that we can get inside. Turns out that the human robot needs a level of specificity that is maddening. By the end of several hours we have a solid plan and I didn't scratch out Herb's eyes.
I execute the plan perfectly and as a reward I take a short nap. I figure that I'll catch up with everyone shortly but instead I'm captured. ::sigh::
We Were Expected
Saiti: As we make our way through the Mathematics building we discover that time's greatest minds, Hawking, Tyson, Pythagoras, Tesla, etc.—are being put to work towards some sinister agenda. Just as we're about to free everyone the man in the ballcap shows up. Shit hits the fan.
A globtron general carries my unconscious body in and flings me aside as a demonstration of power. This throws Neferhotep into a rage and the battle begins in earnest. Methuselah, the man in the ballcap, using a Holy Sword of Mathemagic and winds up a devastating hit on Dr Dare. Had the hit landed it would've killed him instantly. What happened instead of a heroic act on the part of Neferhotep, as he leaps in front of the hit, saving Dare, and the time stream, with his sacrifice.
In the heat of the moment I quickly disarm Methuselah and Dare picks up the sword. Using it's power and the power of the fallen Neferhotep's sword, Dare strikes a fatal blow against our opponent!
Credits Scene
- Neferhotep's body is recovered by an alien entity who resembles Ra, the Egyptian sun god.
- Siati is safely back in the future with the Doddering Dr Dare.
- Herb is back in his garage, fixing cars and drinkin' Coke.
Post Credits Scene
2015—a shadowy figure, the Philosopher, is seen talking to String Theory Dr Dare. They are in agreement and Dare is handed a NY Yankees ballcap and white coat...
